“The workshop aims to ensure readiness of emergency teams to prevent any sort of danger to both civilians and to materials as well,” said Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Obaid Al Abbar, Deputy Director of the Transportation Security Administration, in a statement.
The workshop was organised to focus on quick response and measures needed to control the situation and solve it.
It was also designed to increase cooperation between various departments and pooling resources and equipment in times of crisis.
Others cooperating in the drill were Criminal Investigation Department, Department of Protective Security and Emergency, Department of Forensic Science, Department of Operations, Bur Dubai Police Station, Civil Defence General Department, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Road and Transport Authority, Dubai Public Prosecution, Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Metro operator Serco.
