The Board of Directors of the Arab Union for Industrial Exports Development (AUIED) has announced the appointment of Mohammad Ali Al Kamali, Deputy CEO of Dubai Exports, the exports promotion agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED), as Vice President of the Union. The announcement came during the third AUIED General Assembly, held recently in Cairo, to discuss the Union’s initiatives and programmes for the remaining period in 2016.
The appointment confirms the regional leadership and growing international recognition of Dubai Exports among export promotion organisations. Dubai Exports on its part has been actively involving in Arab and international export development organisations, promoting partnerships while also supporting UAE firms target new export markets successfully.
Galal Abdel Fattah, Chairman of AUIED, said that the Arab Union of Industrial Exports Development aims to highlight the growing competitiveness of Arab industrial exports and enhance such exports to promote trade between Arab countries and the rest of the world.
Abdel Fattah noted that it was in 2015 that Dubai Exports became a member of the Union’s Board of Directors, adding that the appointment of Mohammed Ali Al Kamali as Vice President within such a short time validates the efforts undertaken by Dubai Exports in promoting UAE exporters as well as the agency’s expanding role in overseas markets.
The AUIED General Assembly has also agreed to hold its 4th meeting, also the 7th of its Board of Directors, in Dubai during the first half of May 2017, as recommended by Dubai Exports.
