Eight Iranian companies showcased their products in the International Agricultural Technology Show in Verona, Italy, from February 6-10.

The expo featured five sectors, namely agricultural machinery and equipment; technology and farm products; renewable energy in agriculture; agro-pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, seeds, nursery, protected crops and fertigation; and services featuring insurance and agricultural research companies, IRNA reported.

Exhibitors, including importers and producers, from Italy and 103 countries, including those in Europe and America, as well as enterprises from Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Morocco, China and South Africa, had participated in the exposition.

The fair organizers aimed to identify new companies that would like to enter the Italian market (agricultural, breeding and renewable energy fields) and increase international visitors attending the event in Verona.

Fieragricola was an important showcase for farmers, breeders, agricultural mechanization companies, veterinary surgeons, manufacturers and dealers in agricultural machinery, feed producers, farm holiday centers and players in the short value chain--all of which had a significant presence in the event.

Exhibitors had the opportunity of increasing their business network by matching visitors and potential partners with all agricultural players.

The organizers were satisfied with the active presence of Iranian  companies in the fair, calling for more mutual cooperation.
