Dubai, Nov. 24th, 2011 (WAM) -- As part of Spirit of the Union 40 celebrations, Food Control Department at Dubai Municipality organized a workshop on school food and safe packaging of food in Modern Education School.
Khalid Shareef, Director of Food Control Dept, said the Municipality believes that the health of the student and his knowledge of what good and bad in food is the most important step in maintaining the health and safety of food and the human is considered the first step in building the Union. "The food is accessible to everyone, but many are unaware about the best and proper method in dealing with it, as it comes in first place as a major factor in the growth of society," he said. The first workshop addressed the students in kindergarten on school food presented in coordination with the Chef of Lotus Hotel. The second workshop was for mothers on testing of safe plastic materials with microwave ovens and the importance of safe packaging of food in coordination with Bayader Co.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2011.
