Over dlrs 60 million worth of milk and coffee powder has been exported to 11 countries in the current Iranian year starting on March 21.
Announcing this on Wednesday, the managing director of Multi Foodstuff Industrial Group said that the products were exported to Singapore, the UK, Germany, Turkey, Venezuela, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
"Poland, Romania, Belarus and Saudi Arabia have also voiced willingness to purchase the products," Khalil Afshar Nejad said, adding that their demands are under study.
He put the annual production of milk powder at 16,000 tons, cream at 7,000 tons and coffee at 6,000 tons, noting 50 percent of the said products are exported abroad.
"Other products including Turkish coffee, coffee mate in different flavors, coffee mix, cappuccino, cacao and powder cheese water are also produced by the industrial unit," Afshar Nejad said.
According to him, coffee and milk powder are produced based on the state-of-art technology under the license of Codex International Standard.
He said some 500,000 tons of fresh milk are processed into milk powder per day by the production unit.
"Some 300,000 jobs opportunities have been created by the unit," Afshar Nejad said.
