Dubai: The hypnotic rhythm of the Ivory Coast will bring an African flavour to Modhesh Fun City for the next month.

A traditional African band boasting 29 members, dressed in traditional costumes, are set to present an electrifying stage show, which organisers say will hit the right note with youngsters as well as mums and dads.

During the one hour show the performers will present a traditional dance called Zawlee and also a mask dance to the beat of African drummers.

The band will be performing on the Modhesh Stage at the Dubai World Trade Centre venue from June 21 to July 21 every evening. The show is on today from 8:15 to 9:15pm. Times will vary after the first week, say the show's organisers

Another strand to the show will appeal directly to children. Known as Munding the performance will include gravity defying acrobatics.

Besides dancing other activities will include stilt walking, and juggling making it a spell-binding show for people of all ages and backgrounds.
