TEHRAN - The construction of a railway that is to connect Khaf and Sangan in Khorasan Razavi Province, northeastern Iran, to the Afghan city of Herat is to begin in the next two weeks, ISNA reported.

The project will be funded by the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund, and will start immediately after the local Torbat Heydariyeh-Rashtkhar-Khaf Railway comes into operation.
