ArabFinance: Cairo International Airport ranked the first among all African airports in the air freight traffic during 2019, according to a November 11thstatement.

The capital’s airport maintained its first place for three successive years since 2014, Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar Enaba noted.

He added that the airport kept his position in the second place across Africa in 2017 and 2018.

The cargo movement at the international airport grew by 11.6% on an annual basis at 361.26 tons during 2019, the statement highlighted.

Last month, state-run Cairo Airport Company increased the value of its potential credit facility to EGP 2.2 billion for the renovation of the airport’s Terminal 1.
