Bombay Dyeing, a pioneer and leading player in the textile industry in India, as part of its expansion drive has ventured out to tap the Middle East region with the opening of its first concept store in Dubai.
"Marking a grand beginning, Bombay Dyeing has partnered with the UAE-based leading luxury lifestyle retailer, Rivoli Group, to make a dominant brand presence in the GCC countries through a chain of dedicated stores," SK Gupta, executive director of the company, told The Business Weekly.
"The opening of one such concept store in Dubai will be followed by three more shop-in-shops in association with Rivoli Group in the UAE. For the GCC, we have worked up a long-term strategy for expansion as we are very confident of immense business potential in the region," he added.
High-end products Gupta was speaking to TBW on the sidelines of the opening of Rivoli Group's two new concept stores, Rivoli Silks and the region's first Bombay Dyeing store in Dubai.
Bombay Dyeing is India's first textile brand to collaborate with leading fashion designers, Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Wendell Rodricks to offer high-end lifestyle products for customers with a taste for luxury.
The bed and bath products and accessories at the Bombay Dyeing store come in a variety of colours and patterns that can be matched with any product or decor.
"In our 130th year, the opening of our first concept store in Dubai is a significant accomplishment. Staying true to its core values of fashion, elegance and individualistic style, this new lifestyle concept store has turned out to be a bed and bath marvel. With over 500 product designs and a variety of collections to choose from, we are here to provide Dubai with a one-of-a-kind experience in bed and bath shopping," Gupta said.
Dubai has a sizeable population of Indians and other South Asians who are quite familiar with Bombay Dyeing's range of products.
Professional touch
"After establishing ourselves as exporters of a wide array of furnishing fabrics to various countries across Australia and America, we are glad to have partnered with Rivoli to launch our products here," he further said.
"After setting an unparalleled benchmark in the Indian textile industry, this is Bombay Dyeing's first concept store in the region. The showroom, done by a team of professional experts in spectacular interiors, will showcase an overwhelming collection of bed and bath linen," Gupta claimed.
The new store will offer Bombay Dyeing's premium and designer labels like Sabyasachi Signature Line, Wendell Whites, Urban Living, Country Romance, CMYK, Sorbet and the Bombay Dyeing Evergreen.
