Yeosu, May 14th, 2012 (WAM) -- The Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) Vicente G. Loscertales said UAEs pavilion participating in the "Expo 2012 Yeosu" in South Korea, under the aegis of National Media Council has succeeded in conveying the theme of the EXPO, 'Living Ocean and Coast' through its exhibits and interactive screens, especially "Al Lulua" film, (Arabic word for "pearl").

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency "WAM" after his tour of UAEs pavilion, he said that he was very impressed by the film, which offers fun and important information along with the call to save the turtles by stopping the use of plastic bags that threaten marine life.

UAE pavilion will definitely contribute to raise the international community's awareness on the importance of oceans, coasts and the challenges it faced, it also offers solutions such as banning the use of plastic bags, he added.

He also hailed the cultural and comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the state in various fields.

Minister for Environment and Energy of Seychelles Dr. Rolf Payet also visited UAEs pavilion.

During the visit, Payet admired the level of cooperation and relations between the UAE and the Republic of Seychelles, especially in the economic, investment and tourism fields.
