A Bahrain Defence Force (bdf) parachuting team will go on a training camp at Um Al Qiwain, uae, tomorrow, for training from march 15 to 30, in preparation for their participation in a major celebration, to be held early next month, as part of Formula One Grand Prix activities.

They are also getting prepared to participate in the sixth Jeddah International Championship for skydiving and other international events.

The bdf parachuting team won the third prize in the 2007 championship and came 23rd internationally in cism military world games, held in india in october 2007.

The Commander in Chief of the bdf, General Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, said the sports achievements of the bdf team were an indication of the generous support the leadership offers to the youth sector in general.

On their part, the members of the bdf team lauded the support offered by the Commander in Chief and the Chief of Staff, Major General Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, since the creation of the team to promote Bahrain at international gatherings.
