Kurdistan President Massoud Barzani has not asked the Iraqi government to resettle the members of the People's Mujahidin of Iran in Kurdistan, Barzani's press secretary said today.
Umed Sabah's remark was made in response to a media report by Siyasa newspaper which quoted an anonymous source saying that Barzani has demanded the residents of Camp
Ashraf and Camp Hurriya be transferred to Kurdistan but Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has turned down the demand.
Sabah confirmed at a written statement that the news is not true and is baseless.
