MUSCAT -- BankDhofar has introduced two new deposit and bill payment machines at Ruwi and Jalaan Bani Bu Ali. With the addition of deposit and bill payment machines, BankDhofar continues to expand its distribution to serve customers. BankDhofar already has machines at Al Qurum, Al Khuwair, MBD, Al Wadi, Seeb and Salalah. BankDhofar's deposit and bill payment machines are the first and only machines in Oman that accept cheques deposits. All other traditional machines accept only cash. Other value-added features include the facility to pay utility bills -- including those for electricity, water, telephone, GSM and Internet. Customers can also use this facility to make payments towards their credit card accounts.
Mudit Saxena, Assistant General Manager, BankDhofar Consumer Banking, said, "At BankDhofar, we are always striving to make the lives of our customers easier by introducing innovative products and services by harnessing the latest technologies for a pleasant banking experience". "We received a very positive response from the customers using our current deposit and bill payment machines, and have added two new machines and more are due in future," he added. Using the deposit and bill payment machine is extremely easy and convenient. BankDhofar customers can use this facility by using their Visa Electron Debit cards or ATM cards.
Customers can present the cheque or cash directly to the machine, which will immediately scan the cheque or count the notes and confirm the amount being deposited. Transactions can be carried out with full confidence because customers can verify and confirm every step during the transaction and receive a receipt for cash deposits. On deposit of cheques, customers will receive a comprehensive advice with cheque images and the deposit account's name. Deposits can also be made directly into a third-party account if desired. "Our Deposit and Bill Payment Machine, is a one-stop-shop for depositing cash, cheques and even utility bills," noted Saxena.
