MANAMA: Homes are being distributed as part of a first phase of the Al Ramli project.

This follows an order by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, to distribute 5,000 units.

Housing Minister Bassem Al Hamer said that distribution of the units follows the opening of the Salman, Khalifa and East Hidd towns and the beneficiaries moving to live there.

He noted that these steps add to the government’s achievements in implementing His Majesty King Hamad’s order to build 40,000 housing units.

The minister stressed that the new towns are essential in plans to implement the royal order to build 40,000 housing units nationwide, as well as those included in government’s housing pledges in its current Action Plan.

He added that the ministry’s initiatives implemented in partnership with the private sector are endorsed by the government and contribute to honouring the pledges to provide 25,000 units.
