Batelco is adding Syriatel in Syria to the continually growing two-way mobile prepaid (SimSim) roaming list of destinations that already includes eight operators in seven destinations.
It currently has two way deals with two companies in Saudi Arabia and one each in Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Morocco and Turkey.
Batelco's SimSim, SimSim Shabab and SimSim International customers, who currently benefit from the one-way global roaming service, will now be able to make and receive calls while roaming in the above mentioned six destinations - thanks to the new two-way roaming facility.
"The new service will enable our SimSim customers to send and receive calls while roaming in the above mentioned destinations. However, customers will continue to receive calls only while roaming in all the other destinations that are not currently covered by the service," said Ahmed Al Janahi, Batelco General Manager Corporate Affairs.
"Batelco will continue to expand its global reach to enable SimSim customers to benefit from full roaming services while travelling in any country worldwide," he continues. To avoid possible call disconnection, customers are advised to have sufficient credit in their account to make or receive calls while roaming in those geographies.
