Baghdad - Baghdad governor, Salah Abdul-Razzaq attacked the Iraqi parliament Wednesday accusing it of engaging in recrimination, without paying attention to laws and important legislation.
Baghdad governor said in a press conference in Baghdad, attended by AKnews correspondent that the Iraqi parliament has not issue since its formation to this day, any law except the law of the financial budget for the current year."
"The parliament was so busy with a lot of a lot recrimination, data and other things that kept it away from the legislation laws as it was supposed to complete during the past period many of the laws and legislations that would raise the standard of living and service of the Iraqis."
"Parliament bears a part of the lack of services because it fails in the legislation of laws and we are continuing to work according to the decisions of the dissolved Revolution Command Council until now, there's nearly 3500 decision of the dissolved Leadership Council."
The parliament resumed its work in this session in the 11 of last November after its members repeated sworn last June.
The past four months witnessed a large number of holidays, including Arbainiya of Imam Hussein holiday, Ashura holiday , New Year's holiday and Eid Al Adha, the latest was the parliaments return to their areas because of recent demos.
sharp criticism faced the parliament earlier due to the non-completion of the MPs number in most of the sessions which led to make the sessions open for a long time.
Over the Speaker of the parliament call to resolve the provincial councils he said, "it is useless to resolve them now but there is no solution in resolving them , then the same people come back , so we would be wasting money and interrupting the projects".
The Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki and the parliament Speaker, Osama Nujaifi called after the demonstrations the Iraqis to resolve the provincial councils and hold early elections.
