Ras Al Khaimah, Apr 14th, 2013 (WAM) -- AURAK?s Vice Chancellor, Professor Hassan Alalkim met with Professor Kamal Aldeen Bani Hani, Hashemite University of Jordan President to discuss joint cooperation opportunities between AURAK and Hashemite University of Jordan.
AURAK?s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hassan Alalkim took the initiative to officially visit Hashemite University of Jordan along with Dean of School of Engineering, Prof. Mousa Mohsen. The meeting also included discussion of a number of common issues listed on the agenda. Professor Bani Hani welcomed Professor Alalkim with his delegation and the idea of joint cooperation opportunities along with a continuous communication between the two institutions. Professor Bani Hani also confirmed that this kind of cooperation strengthens the existing cooperation between the two countries, expressing willingness of the university administration for all types of cooperation in the areas of academic, scientific and research and other areas that achieve common goals between the two universities and serve the community.He also briefed AURAK?s delegation with the development in the exploitation of alternative energy, particularly solar energy and other existing projects in the Hashemite University of Jordan. Moreover, he reviewed plans for the university and its academic programs plus its scientific research referring to multiple cooperation agreements signed by the Hashemite University with a number of universities around the world.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed ways of cooperation between the two universities even in areas like exchange of visits between faculty members and students. Nonetheless, exchange scientific expertise, spend sabbatical vacation, holding seminar, conferences, lectures, and other joint areas that achieve common goals for both parties.
The Hashemite University President and his entourage toured AURAK?s delegation around campus and briefed them about the equipment fitted in laboratories and classrooms.
