The Chairman of Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (Asry), Eid Abdullah Yousif received the newly-elected (2006-09) representatives of the Asry Trade Union (ATU) in the presence of chief executive Mohamed Alkhateeb and some senior company officials. He welcomed the new union members and urged them to commit themselves to looking after the interests of both company and workers in order that Asry continues its progress. The chief executive said: "I would like to thank the ATU for its continued understanding of the situation.

"No doubt, by putting our hands together, management and workers, we will always have the best solutions which satisfy workers and benefit the prosperity of the company".

ATU Chairman Mohamed Abdul Rahman Mohamed thanked the top management of Asry trade union members, assuring full co-operation of the union during their three-year tenure.
