Abu Dhabi, June 4th, 2006 (WAM)-- The Arabian SalukiCenter, Abu Dhabi, today announced that it will organise two special events for Arabian Salukis during the InternationalHunting and Equestrian Exhibition. The exhibition will take placefrom September 11 to 15, 2006 in Abu Dhabi.

The "Arabian Saluki Beauty Contest" and the "Lure CoursingShow" are aimed to give Saluki owners an opportunity to showcasetheir Salukis - both smooth and feathered. The Arabian SalukiBeauty Contest will be attended by internationally renowned judgeMr. Gilberto Grandi from Italy, President of the Italian SightHound Club and specialised in Greyhounds and other Sight Houndssince 1977. Salukis will be judged upon the characteristics ofthe standard of the breed, e.g. head, general structure, coat,movement and general impression. The winners of the Arabian SalukiBeauty Contest will be rewarded with valuable prizes.

All Saluki owners based in the United Arab Emirates and otherGCC countries are required to register their Saluki for competingin the Arabian Saluki Beauty Contest with the Arabian SalukiCentre prior to the exhibition. Salukis that are not registeredby the Arabian Saluki Centre prior to the show will not be allowedto enter the competition. Registration is free of charge andstarts on June 1, 2006 and closes on August 31, 2006.
