Meanwhile, the Industries, Mines and Trade Ministry announced that some 159,200 tons of lead and zinc ingots were produced during the 11 months of current Iranian year.
The figure is 6.3 percent higher than the figure for the same duration of the past year which was 16,400 tons.
In January, a report released by IMIDRO said Iran is known as the second holder of Zinc ore reserves in the world.
As of next year, Mahdi-Abad Zinc Mine in Yazd province will be prepared to deliver 1 million tons of lead and zinc oxide dust to industries.
The amount of lead and zinc mines reserves of Yazd province has been considered for production of near 6.4 million tons of zinc ingot, 1.6 million tons of lead ingot and 2,313 tons of silver, according to the report.
Per each ton of extracted soil of Mahdi-Abad mine, 7.8 percent of zinc as well as 2.2 percent of lead and silver and other minerals exist, the report said.
The most important minerals of the mine are 12-14 percent of manganese and 25-30 percent of iron, IMIDRO said.
The mine has two sulfide and oxide sections and the main section has 165 million tons of definite reserve and 400 million tons of probable reserve. There is a minor section in the mine of 14 to 25-percent karat which has 1.5-2 million tons reserve, it added.
