BEIRUT, April 22 (KUNA) -- The Arab Labor Organization (ALO) and the United Nations' United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) had revitalized a 1986 memo to bolster cooperation amongst the two organization till 2011.

A statement by ESCWA, released in the Lebanese capital on Wednesday, said that the deal would ensure more cooperation between ALO and ESCWA on the level of holding joint conferences and workshops.

Both institutions also agreed to discuss the effects of the international financial crisis on the ESCWA member states, trying to find means to counter the problem.
