MUSCAT -- Al Hayat Educational Consultants, a Muscat based competence centre, has tied up with PMCC, to provide professional training to employees of a number of leading firms in the Sultanate specialising in project management, engineering-procurement construction, financial services and educational institutions. Companies that have benefited from Al Hayat's recent training initiatives include Oman Shapoorji, Khimji Ramdas, Hasan Juma Backer, Al Omaniya Financial Services, Al Majadeef and Caledonian College.

"Project management skills are very crucial to individuals, organisations and government departments as they successfully deliver on commitments within constraints. "Al Hayat Educational Consultants see a tremendous opportunity in the area of professional training and are taking every step to make quality training available to the Omani residents so as to increase their work productivity and to reflect professionalism in all their activities and thereby contribute effectively for the growth of this rapidly-developing country," the company said in a press statement.

Al Hayat's key strength is its partnership with PMCC, a globally registered educational services provider to Project Management Institute, USA. With an offering of 223 programmes, PMCC has offered project management training to over 5,000 professionals globally. PMI with its 265,000-plus members globally is the world's leading non-profit association of project management professionals.

Al Hayat is making available Best Management Practices through PMI's PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge). Candidates undergoing the 4-day training programme will be eligible to take a test conducted by the Project Management Institute of USA and obtain a PMP certification.
