KUWAIT: Al-Ghanam Tires hosted a gathering for their dealers and sales agents and launched their new Falken Tires range on Friday. The event was held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Salwa and attended by Takeshi Adachi, General Director- Sumimoto Rubber ME and Takashi Hara General Manager (Sales-ME). Falken Tires, which conforms to the standards and features of automobiles worldwide, offers a wide range of tires from passenger, 4WD & RV, light truck and the heavy truck and bus tires. Rajesh Panjwani, Country Head-Al- Ghanam Tires, welcomed visitors and promised to deliver the best Falken Tires products. "Falken Tires has been established as a leading brand for many customers not only in Kuwait but the rest of the region too.

We shall continue to provide respected brands and products accordingly," he said. Atulya Gupta, CEO-Automotive Business-Kapico Group Holdings Co, Jithin Jayachandran, Technical Service Manager Sumimoto Rubber ME and Suresh NS also addressed the event. Adachi thanked Al- Ghanam Tires for their active marketing of their products produced and distributed in different parts of the world.

"We are indeed very thankful to Al-Ghanam for their relentless support and marketing of our brand in the market, especially in Kuwait and in the region. This is an annual event to meet everyone in person - not just agents and dealers but also interact with customers," he added. Falken Tires, according to Adachi, has been in the market for quite some time now and is recognized by customers for years. "Al- Ghanam helped us a lot. We have delivered about 100,000 Falken Tires units in Kuwait, and this is a huge number. So we are here to thank them. Falken Tires are also well-respected, and this product is growing very fast," he added.

He admitted business has been slow in the last two years due to political developments in the region, but he expects a bigger share in 2014. "Falken Tires in terms of sales in 2014 will be better. In Kuwait it was steady because of a much better economic situation here, but there are countries in the GCC where we recorded slower demand, but we expect to recover in 2014 and in the years to come," he said.
