Damascus - Assistant Secretary General of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Abdullah al-Ahmar on Tuesday asserted Syria's keenness on preserving Yemen's unity and stability.
During a meeting with an official media Yemeni delegation headed by Chairman of the Yemeni National Press Association Ali Ahmed al-Assadi, al-Ahmar affirmed that Syria stands by Yemen in solving the internal situation it is facing.
He also called for boosting dialogue among all the political parties in Yemen to overcome the current situation and to consolidate Yemen's national unity in a way that could restore the rights of the brotherly Yemeni people and achieve the stability and security of the country.
He underscored the role of media in spreading the nationalist thought, conveying the true image of the Arab humanitarian civilization and defending the rights and goals of the Arab nation.
In turn, the Yemeni delegation expressed appreciation of Syria's supportive stances of Yemen and the just Arab issues at the regional and international forums.
