Jassim Abdul Ghafour, head of the Welcoming Committee of the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD), said: "DNRD is welcoming DSF visitors in a very special way and helps in making all the procedures very easy. There is a special reception for the members of the press, artistes and our many other eminent visitors. They are received in a hall called 'Ahlan', and the procedures that they go through are made even easier. They are provided with literature and brochures to introduce them to the many marvels they will experience in Dubai.
"DNRD is taking special care of children, and the team hands out goody bags of gifts to children.
"Flowers are given to the mothers who come in, with the number of flowers being given out crossing 2,000. Visitors to Dubai during DSF 2004 will feel the inherent hospitality of our land right from the moment they step off the aircraft.
"The decorations the lights, colours and themes all serve to build a festive atmosphere, much like how Dubai is during DSF," he added.
