Abu Dhabi, Sept. 28th, 2011 (WAM) -- The Health, Safety & Environment Division at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City (ADM) has recently held a workshop about the applications of the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management system with the aim of educating employees on the applications of ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.

Engineer Abdul Aziz Zurub, Director of Health, Safety & Environment, Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, highlighted the objectives of the HSE policy together with the related roles and responsibilities of the Division.

He explained the importance of the HSE management system guidelines applied within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and they were aligned with relevant global standards; which had been used as a reference in drawing up the HSE management system of Abu Dhabi Emirate.

Engineer Nasir Al Zaabi, Head of Inspection & Control Section at Health, Safety & Environment Division, Municipality of Abu Dhabi City stated that the Municipality was keen on raising the awareness of employees of different specialties of the need of observing occupational health & safety standards as they play a crucial role in protecting their lives and maintaining their physical and psychological safety.
