Fifty Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) were repatriated last week.

The first batch of the Philippine Embassy’s repatriation programme 2022 included pregnant women, overstaying OFWs, deportees, medical patients, minors and wards at the embassy shelter.

They flew to Manila on a Gulf Air flight. Quarantine facilities for the returnees were arranged by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Bahrain in co-ordination with its main office in Manila.

The mission thanked Bahrain’s Interior Ministry, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and immigration officials for their assistance in clearing the exit procedures.
