HFZA honors TOP3 2012 Award winners in 14 categories

Sharjah, March 5, 2013: Celebrating another year of success, Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) today concluded the second edition of its TOP3 2012 annual awards by recognizing the top organizations and personalities associated with the Free Zone for their consistent business excellence, best practices and invaluable contributions in improving HFZA's overall economic performance.

Four individuals and 39 organizations were honored in 14 various categories at the awards ceremony held at the Al Majara Hall, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (UAE). Attended by senior government officials, business leaders and a host of HFZA investors, the event served as an opportunity for Hamriyah Free Zone to reiterate and further strengthen its commitment to its business partners.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rashid Alleem, Director General Sharjah Department of Seaports & Customs and Sharjah Free Zones Authority, said: "HFZA grew from concept to reality based on an ambitious vision of becoming one of the most important engines for future growth and economic development in the emirate of Sharjah. Today, I am proud that this vision has been achieved through stakeholder collaboration, encouraging innovation and the promotion of entrepreneurial activities within the HFZA business community."

The success of HFZA is linked to the success of our ever-growing community of investors, he reiterated. "On this occasion, I would like to congratulate each and every winner for their contributions in helping HFZA deliver its goals of attaining high levels of efficiency and competitiveness without compromising on high standards of services."

Dr. Alleem continued: "The many firms and organizations that make up HFZA may be diverse in their areas of activities, business interests and employee strength, but they do share one feature in common: they are all keen to perform better, generate higher profits, deliver results and achieve success. These companies, irrespective of their sizes, have worked hard to enhance their management systems and processes to achieve a sustained growth trajectory."

The Hamriyah TOP3 2012 Awards are a tribute to the entrepreneurial abilities and industriousness of these investors whose contributions have led to the success of the Free Zone, he concluded, adding "I hope the Awards will serve as an inspiration and encouragement for all our investors as we move forward to another exciting phase in our growth."

Assessed through independent and impartial evaluation, the TOP3 Awards are driven and allocated based on the findings of Hamriyah Free Zone's 'Partner Performance Management System'.This performance feedback system covers six key performance pillars: business ethics and conduct, social and environmental practices, financial performance, technical capability, delivery and quality of service, and the strength of the commercial relationship.
