SHARJAH, 26th September, 2015 (WAM) -- Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) continues to act according to its strategic plan that calls for the planning and leading of the economic development in Sharjah driving down to attain the sustainable development and economic well-being of the emirate.
In order to confirm such a thing, the Department promotes the emirate of Sharjah through participation in number of global and local economic exhibition and forums such as "Hanvoer Messe" exhibition in Germany, "SIAL" exhibition in Paris, World Investment Summit in China, Emirati-Saudi Investment Forum, World Economic Forum "Davos" in Jordan, in addition to its participations in the government and trade delegations that the Ministry of Economy organise. Such contributions come as part of SEDD?s strategic plan to attract investors to invest in Sharjah, which comes within its keenness to attract investments and Capitals to UAE in general and Sharjah in particular. The work on developing the emirate?s economy is considered as one of the main tasks of SEDD, whereas such international forums are important to promote the economic and commercial cooperation with different countries all over the world, to raise mutual investment rates in all sectors, and to provide investors with the needed facilities to carry out their businesses and complete their procedures, as well as to overcome all the obstacles that they face. Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEDD, stressed on the importance of establishing a solid base for economic cooperation with various governmental and private parties, both local and federal ones, forming lasting partner with them and implementation of joint projects. He pointed out that such economic relations are built on the basis of partnership and cooperation, and it is therefore characterized by durability and ensure that the two parties would achieve their interests and goals. He added that the Department pays great attention to the importance of participating and presenting in various economic forums and exhibitions and assured that the Department promotes for its services and ways on investing in Sharjah through them by answering all the inquires and questions that the visitors ask about the type of investments carried and required in the emirate as well as the availability of the appropriate infrastructure in Sharjah. On his part, Abdelaziz Omar Al Midfa, Deputy Director of Government Communication Department at SEDD, said that due to the directives of the Chairman, the Department promotes economically for Sharjah?s potentials because of its economic structure and stability, as well as its interest to encourage investments and engaging in partnership and mutual projects through the participation in different economic forums. Such a promotion is important to highlight the commercial opportunities, attract investors, and expand investment base in Sharjah which will be reflected positively on the economy and contribute in promoting Sharjah economic status.
