MUSCAT -- Saud Bahwan Group hosted the prestigious Toyota Middle East Technical Service Conference, attended by over 50 senior participants from 12 countries.
Shinichi Sasaki -- Executive Vice-President, Tadashi Yamashina -- Senior Managing Director, Hisayuki Inoue, Shuichi Koyama and Katsutada Masumoto -- Managing Officers and Yasushi Tanaka -- Senior Managing Director, amongst other high-ranking officials from Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan, spearheaded the event.
Speaking about the technical seminar, a top-ranking Toyota official remarked, "Toyota, being a market leader in the Middle East, is keenly aware of its special responsibility in maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Not resting content with our successes and market dominance, we constantly endeavour to enhance the quality and performance of our products, and to share best practices in the region. Ultimately, the chief beneficiary of our endeavours is the customer."
Addressing the gathering, Shaikh Mohammed Saud Bahwan, Chairman, Saud Bahwan Group remarked, "I am extremely grateful to TMC for giving us this opportunity to host the Toyota Middle East Technical Service Conference, this is a matter of great honour for us.
Toyota has always enjoyed a high market share in the Middle East and is the dominant brand in many countries. This enviable position has been built on a rock solid reputation for quality, offering customer centric products backed by excellent after-sales service and most importantly joint efforts by Toyota Motor Corporation and the distributors. I am sure all the distributors will join me in expressing our deepest gratitude to TMC for their continued and valuable support and guidance.
I strongly feel that further improving Toyota quality and overall competitiveness will be vital to retaining our pre-eminent position and satisfying the requirements of increasingly demanding and informed customers.
This Service Conference focusing on 'Quality First' and 'Genchi-Genbutsu' is therefore most appropriate and timely. I am confident that the meeting will be extremely helpful in comprehending the current market requirements, improving Toyota product quality and setting the direction for the future."
The conference was an excellent platform for the effective dissemination of new ideas, concepts and sharing of best practices.
A special evening was created for the delegates wherein they had a chance to sample the flavours of Oman and to get a glimpse of Omani folklore.
One of the senior delegates remarked, "Congratulations, SBG on hosting one of the most professional conferences. I must mention here that this was my first visit to Oman and I hope to visit the beautiful land and its warm people, again."
