NINEWA: The Iraqi Middle East Investment Bank has opened a new branch in Mosul city, according to the branch's director.

"The branch was opened with a capital of 42 billion Iraqi dinars, which is expected to reach 50 billion in mid-2009," Mohammed Majeed al-Mahyoul told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Established in 1997, the bank has 13 branches all over the country.

Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
