London and Manama, 11 November 2010:   CNBC, the leading business and financial news channel, today announced that Jackie DeAngelis has joined the network's new editorial hub in Bahrain as a Reporter for the Middle East.

DeAngelis will contribute business and financial reports from the region, for its global programme Capital Connection, which is tri-anchored live from London, Singapore and Bahrain.  She will also contribute reports to CNBC's monthly programme Gateway to the Middle East, which gives viewers insight into business trends and investment opportunities in the region.

Most recently DeAngelis was Director of Strategic Programming and Development at the network's global headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.  In this role she was instrumental in creating new financial series, producing exclusive network specials, and making strategic programming acquisitions for the channel.  Prior to this role, she was a writer and producer for CNBC's Mad Money with Jim Cramer.

John Casey, Vice President of International News and Programming, at CNBC, commented: "Jackie is a talented broadcast journalist who has fantastic experience in creating and producing CNBC business day and primetime programming.  Her appointment as a reporter for the Middle East is a great addition to the Bahrain team and continues our investment in our new editorial hub."
