MUSCAT -- Ford's customers were in for a unique visual treat at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel, with the unveiling of the latest 2012 Ford range of cars. This one-of-a-kind event was hosted by Ford Motor Company and Arabian Car Marketing Company (a part of the renowned Saud Bahwan Group), the Ford and Lincoln distributors in Oman.

The Ford Fleet Meet commenced with an informative presentation on Ford's vehicle range for 2012 which gave customers an insight into Ford Motor Company's latest developments in quality, safety and powertrain technologies, as well as the latest fleet specific innovations and solutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Hussein Murad, Sales Director, Ford Middle East said "The introduction of the 2012 range, showcases our responsible attitude towards the environment. And to take this attitude to the next level, Ford is teaming up with an award-winning multimedia platform -- SHFT.com to accelerate the development of more fuel-efficient and alternative-fuel vehicles."

"Ford goes all out to continue its leadership drive within the industry while enabling our customers to reap the results of our efforts. This can be noticed in our latest products that feature dynamic and sporty looks, all-new powertrains, better fuel economy, industry leading quality, and most importantly, premium and unique technologies that you wouldn't have imagined come at a wallet-friendly price" he added.

Hussein Murad also praised Shaikh Mohammed Saud Bahwan, Chairman of Saud Bahwan Group, for his continued investments in world-class infrastructure, trained manpower and strategic marketing initiatives in Oman.

In his speech, a senior representative from Saud Bahwan Group remarked "Arabian Car Marketing also prides itself in the outstanding customer service and satisfaction levels that our team offers.

This year, we continue to strive and develop special solutions to better serve our fleet customers from the actual sales process to the equally important service and maintenance stages."

In the entire new range of Ford cars that included Taurus, Explorer, Fusion, Edge and F-150 Raptor, the 2012 Focus was a complete show-stealer with the amount of attention it received.

The unique exterior highlighted by Z-shaped body lines, stylised headlamps and tail lamps, gloss black grille, wide range of 18" alloy wheels and premium tinted and tri-coat metallic paint. Together with unparallelled features like a sport-tuned suspension, variable cam timing, six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission, electronic power assist steering, Torque Vectoring Control and AdvanceTrac® ESC with ABS and more, created a buzz among the customers.

The new Focus has already in a short time achieved a rare distinction, when it became the first Focus model to receive four Euro NCAP advanced safety rewards.

The event also had some exciting entertainment in the form of live music, lucky dip and more which kept the customers entertained.
