40-member delegation from business councils and groups discuss joint cooperation with Fujairah Chamber
Dubai - As part of its efforts to integrate the business communities of Dubai and Fujairah, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry led a high profile Dubai delegation for a roundtable meeting with the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Al DiarSiji hotel on Tuesday.
Led by H.E. Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber,the delegation included over 40 representatives of business councils and groups operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber. The two sides discussed means of enhancing mutual cooperation while the delegation also visited the Fujairah Free Zone and were familiarised with the facilities and services offered by the free zone.
The delegation was received by H.E. Ahmad Mohammed Mubarak, Chairman, and H.E. Khalid Mohammed Al Jassim, Director General Fujairah Chamber.
H.E. Ahmad Mohammed Mubarak, Chairman,Fujairah Chamber, highlighted the importance of cooperation between various UAE Chambers and representatives of the private sector in removing any obstacles faced by the business community while leading their growth and expansion under the objectives of Vision 2021 which emphasises on building a diversified and knowledge-based economy as well as working together of the public and private sectors for takingthe country's economy to new horizons.
The Chairman of Fujairah Chamber, lauded the wise leadership of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emiratesfor providing a highly sophisticated infrastructure, laws and legislation and a stimulating investment environment based on smart business applications in line with global economic developments,while supporting international companies to benefit from the country's East meets West location.
He expressed his thanks to Dubai Chamber for organising the visit to Fujairah which he saidis witnessing the launch of a number of strategic economic projects leading to sustainabledevelopment under the directives ofH.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.
H.E. Mubarakfurther stated that this meeting will lead to strategic partnerships between the business communities of Fujairah and Dubai and representatives of Dubai's business councils and groups while leading to exchange of ideas and expertiseunder the aspirations of the country.
In his welcome address, H.E. Al Ghurair stated that the visit will help strengthen the existing strategic relations between the business communities of Dubai and Fujairah. "This visit also reflects our commitment to achieving integration of Dubai and Fujairah's private sectors in line with the directives of our leaders in supporting the business communityand will open up new doors of joint ventures and fruitful cooperation for them in various economic fields," he said.
H.E. Al Ghurair further stated that the presence of over 40 heads of business councils and groups working under the auspices of Dubai Chamber showsDubai business community's interest in weavinga strong business network with theirFujairah counterparts in achieving their common goals while developing a solid business partnership between the two sides.
The Chairman of Dubai Chamber lauded the role of Fujairah Chamber in strengthening partnership between the two Chambers in serving the business communities of both the emirates while leading them to the path of sustainable development in the country.
On his part, Mr. Atiq Juma Nasib, Senior Director, Commercial Services Sector, Dubai Chamber, informed that this visit confirms the cooperation ties existing between the business communities of Dubai and Fujairah, pointing out that the current delegation visitwhich includes heads and officials of business councilsand groups seeking to develop economic cooperation will help consolidate bilateral relations, and open up new horizons ofinvestment opportunitiesbetween Dubai and Fujairah businesses.
