Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The Organizing Committee of the Arab Media Forum (AMF), being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will be the "Sustainability Partner" of the 15th edition of the forum.  This will further boost the already strong relationship between DEWA and Dubai Press Club, the organizer of the event, as well as spread awareness among people on topics that touch their daily lives mainly in term of the rationalization of energy and water consumption.

In this regards, His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said that the forum managed to set a strong base for media dialogue in the region as it offers an important platform for the development of the media sector, which in turn, plays a vital role in shaping the future of people through enhancing their ability in achieving their objectives as well as unleashing their potentials for a brighter future.    

Al Tayer praised the choice of the Organizing Committee for a "sustainable design" and look and feel of the venue, through the green landscapes that will be displayed throughout the place, as this will reflect the importance of environmental preservation and encourage attendees to follow a sustainable lifestyle. This will also draw the attention of media professionals to the importance of their participation in promoting "environmental friendly" practices through rationalising water and energy consumption.

Her Excellency Mona Ghanim Al Marri, Chairperson of the AMF Organizing Committee and Dubai Press Club, praised the sustainable role played by DEWA in term of innovative programmes and initiatives that match the UAE 2021 Vision and the Dubai 2021 Vision, where sustainability is a key pillar of the vision. The vision aims to make Dubai a fully smart, integrated, connected and sustainable city in term of resources, with a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.

The 15th edition of the Arab Media Forum will take place from 10 to 11 May 2016 in Dubai World Trade Center, under the theme "media for good", and is set to attract prominent Arab and international media elites, journalists and intellectuals.
