A pan-African campaign to promote renewable energy kicked off Wednesday (April 25th) in Rabat, MAP reported. Under the slogan "Sustainable Energy for All", the "Africa Express" train will travel across the continent for up to eight months to study sustainable energy projects and educate people about energy options.
Along with Morocco, the 20,000km train tour will visit Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Gabon, Congo, DR Congo, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Sudan and Egypt.
