Barwa Real Estate has awarded the construction of the 'Dara A' project to Qatar Development Company for Trading & Contracting (QDTC) for a total value of QR115.9mn and a duration of 18 months, it was announced.

The Dara A project, which is located in the northern part of Fox Hills in Lusail City, "reflects modernity in design" and is scheduled to finish in the first quarter of 2018, the real estate company said.

The project will rise on a 16,425sq m total land area and includes the development of four residential buildings, each comprised of five floors of residential units and underground parking with a total project built up area of 51,037sq m.

The Dara A project will include 271 residential units, 94 of which are one-bedroom with areas ranging between 80sqm and 87sq m, 139 two-bedroom units (between 107sq m and 136sq m), and 38 three-bedroom units (between 125sq m and 172sq m), in addition to 365 underground parking slots.

Dara A is the third project launched by Barwa Real Estate in 2016 following the Mustawdaat project in Um Shahrain and Madinat Al Mawater in Rawdat Rashed.

According to Barwa Real Estate, the company "has no conflict of interest with QDTC."
