DUBAI, 22nd March, 2017 (WAM) -- The Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS), to partner in boosting the private sector, investments and trade, both inside and outside the UAE.

The partnership aims to establish strategic ties, boost exchange of expertise, knowledge and information and expand joint discussions and research on a range of issues, with th ultimate goal of serving the UAE private sector, said the secretary-general of the federation Humaid Mohammed bin Salim, .

The inaugural Summit offers a voice and a venue for leaders with a vision to shape the future of manufacturing with a hand-selected audience of over 1,200 delegates expected to attend, including Heads of State, Government Leaders, Ministers, Policy Makers and C-Suite Executives from Global 2000 Companies.

The Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS) is a world first and will be hosted in Abu Dhabi by the UAE Ministry of Economy and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).

The inaugural summit will be held at the Paris-Sorbonne Abu Dhabi from 27th to 30th March under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces .
