SHARJAH- Sharjah Children Biennial, SCB, have sold 38 artworks that were part of the Biennials fifth edition, during its participation at the recently concluded Abu Dhabi Art 2017.

The proceeds from the artwork sales will go to support the refugee children of Al Zaatari Camp in Jordan, through the Big Heart Foundation, TBHF, in alignment with their commitment to support charitable and community initiatives.

The organising committee of SCBs fifth edition displayed a total of 64 artworks for sale at Abu Dhabi Art, under the theme, 'A World as Big as Your Imagination, and included three categories: Architecture Design, Environment, and Fantasy and Reality.

Reem bin Karam, President of SCBs fifth edition, said, "The sales proceeds covered the cost of cancer treatment of a child, we have collaborated with The Big Heart Foundation to support refugee children, by catering to some of their basic needs in the hope that it will help alleviate their sufferings and bring them joy." Curator of SCBs fifth edition, Dana Al Mazrouei, said, "The selected artworks were characterised by a high level of nuance and artistry. We selected 64 artworks from the editions collection to be showcased at Abu Dhabi Art, which received much admiration from the fairs visitors. In the coming weeks we will display more artworks for sale at various locations in Sharjah and Dubai, as a continuation of the fifth SCBs charitable drive."
