Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – The Ras Al Khaimah Public Service Department (RAKPSD) and the Federal Authority for Electricity and Water (FEWA) have signed a memorandum of understanding between the two entities aimed at developing a joint working strategy and a specific mechanism for cooperation and coordination related to electronic communication.

The MoU was signed during GITEX Technology Week 2017 at Dubai World Trade Center by H.E. Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Al Hammadi, Director General of the Public Services Department, and H.E. Mohammed Mohammed Saleh, FEWA Director General.

H.E. Ahmed Al Hammadi said, “We are pleased to sign this agreement with FEWA which will enhance our services and also raise the happiness quotient for all our customers. We will ensure that we provide all that’s necessary to contribute to achieving the initiatives contained in the MoU in the best possible manner.”

According to the agreement, the sewage charges that used to be issued separately by RAKPSD will now added be to customers’ monthly FEWA bill. This supports the notion that rapid and consolidated bill payment avoids the accumulation of fines, thereby contributing to the alleviation of burdens on members of the community.

H.E. Mohammed Mohammed Saleh commented, “The signing of this agreement is an extension of the Authority’s efforts aimed at improving and developing mechanisms of coordination and understanding with various entities in throughout Emirates, and to enhance fruitful and strategic cooperation between different government agencies in order to achieve common goals and interests.”
