ABU DHABI, 17th May, 2017 (WAM) -- ADNOC Distribution has announced the opening of two new Xpress Stations, marking the completion of phase one of the construction of its Xpress Station network.

Launched to serve the most congested areas and roads in Abu Dhabi city and its suburbs, the Xpress Station concept focuses exclusively on petrol fuelling services. A total of 10 stations have now been opened under phase one of the project.

Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said, "We are pleased with the completion of phase one of this key project, which represents a new concept bringing efficiency and flexibility to the refuelling process. The Xpress Station project represents part of our long-term strategic plan to target our resources efficiently to ensure steady and sustainable business growth. " Since the beginning of 2017, ADNOC Distribution has announced the opening of 9 full service stations and 10 ADNOC Xpress Stations. As part of its development plan for the current year, the company aims to open a further 25 new service stations across the UAE and 10 additional ADNOC Xpress Stations in Abu Dhabi and its peripheral areas.
