VMware’s Executive Exchange UAE this week brought together IT executives from across industry verticals in the UAE, encouraging them to learn about the latest trends in digital transformation and showing them how they can help their organisations to run smoothly and exceed customer expectations while embracing disruptive technologies.
The event was held in Abu Dhabi under the theme “Digital Innovation: Succeeding at the Great Balancing Act”. It was attended by senior VMware executives including Mark Lohmeyer, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Cloud Platform BU, and Ahmed Auda, Regional Managing Director METNA.
Mohammed Gheyath, Executive Director of Information Security Operation Sector at Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), the authority responsible for driving excellence in government services to the public, delivered the keynote speech and offered insights into how the Abu Dhabi government is leading the way in digital transformation.
Senior executives from IBM and AWS discussed how their organisations are working in tandem with VMware to help organisations leverage cloud for next-generation security and virtualised solutions. Zubin Chagpar, Head of MEA Public Sector from AWS spoke about the value of cloud technology in helping transform the public sector and how VMware Cloud on AWS is providing a hybrid-cloud solution that eliminates complexity from cloud adoption. Simon Kofkin-Hansen, CTO of IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions highlighted the benefits of running an end to end IBM Cloud that is enterprise grade and secure, backed by decades of human expertise.
Fahem Al Nueimi, CEO of Ankabut, the UAE’s Advanced National Research and Education Network (NREN), shared Ankabut’s vision to become the region’s leading education service provider by sharing how their platform provides collaboration between UAE education, government, and industry sectors.
