Abu Dhabi: The Emirati General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has signed an agreement to explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) air traffic management with Searidge Technologies.

The agreement is the first of its kind in the region in digital airport solutions, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.

“We look forward to working with Searidge and believe this collaboration will help advance the use of technology in aviation to optimize safety and efficiency in the UAE and around the globe. The MoU agreement will promote, develop and reinforce administrative, technical and scientific cooperation,” said Ahmed Al Jallaf, the assistant director general of the air navigation services in GCAA.
