Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism– Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) will launch the region’s first-ever Abu Dhabi Tourism and Data Analytics Forum on December 15th, with the event set to attract more than 100 leading industry experts to the UAE capital to discuss the latest trends in the tourism and analytics industry. 

The event, which will take place at Manarat Al Saadiyat will bring together top data scientists, researchers and industry experts to share the latest industry advances related to tourism analytics and data analysis with a view to supporting Abu Dhabi as it develops further into an innovative tourism capital. 

The conference will also create a platform for dialogue and engagement on the latest trends in data analytics related to the tourism industry and for stakeholders to engage with each other to investigate new methodologies in the industry.

The conference reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to reinforcing its position as an innovative tourism capital, by utilising the very latest in technological advancements to provide the industry with solutions and best practice frameworks to support a sustainable future for the industry.    

“The Abu Dhabi Tourism and Data Analytics Forum will position Abu Dhabi as a leader on the subject of analytics in tourism regionally," said HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, Undersecretary at DCT Abu Dhabi. “The main objective of the forum will be to identify solutions and conclusions about tourism in Abu Dhabi by connecting leading data scientists, researchers and industry experts to exchange the latest industry innovations and share their experiences.”

Confirmed speakers for the ground-breaking event will include representatives of VISA, Google, Oxford Economics, du, TripAdvisor, Booking.com and other esteemed organisations. Another speaker will be Rafat Ali, CEO and Founder at Skift, the largest business intelligence and marketing platform in travel, providing news, information, data, and services to all sectors of the world’s largest industry. 

Driven by a broad range of stakeholders that rely on data and analytics, the forum will deliver three key sessions including tourism analytics, hotel analytics and a dedicated data research panel hosted by Skift, the largest creative business conference in the global travel industry.
