EXPO 2020 world exhibition is taking place in Dubai. The event could not be held last year because of the pandemic. The Russian pavilion dedicated to the future: Creative Mind: Driving the Future, began its work as part of the exhibition program. Visitors of the Russian pavilion will be able to find out about the scientific and cultural achievements of the past, and also see the demonstration of how the innovative mind can create the future for the good of humanity.

Alexey Gruzdev, General Commissioner of the Russian Pavilion at EXPO 2020 and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, as well as Dimitri Kerkenses Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau, took part at the opening ceremony of the Russian pavilion. The official delegation viewed the exposition of the pavilion and paid special attention to Rosatom multimedia installation.

The installation vividly shows the evolution of human thought and achievements of civilization, which became possible thanks to the constant aspiration of people to develop and acquire new knowledge. The exposition of Rosatom demonstrates how this aspiration paves the way to an environmentally friendly and sustainable world of the future, tells about the potential of the nuclear energy, which represents the synergy of current technologies and experience in improvement of people life quality and creation of conditions for the development of countries. The installation is a part of the permanent exposition of the Russian pavilion. During six months of EXPO-2020, Rosatom plans to hold a number of events for its partners and the media, while Rosatom employees will take part in the business program of the Russian Pavilion.

Alexey Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation said: «For the first time, EXPO is being held in the Middle East. For our country, which has participated in almost all EXPO exhibitions, this is a really important event that will give an additional impetus to the development of cooperation between the UAE and Russian Federation. There are 192 countries participating in the exhibition. This is the largest number of participants, so we can safely see this year EXPO as a great opportunity for the Russian Federation to talk with the world about technology, science, creative mind, innovation and, of course, culture for 182 days».

Vadim Titov, President of Rusatom Internationa Network, noted: «Nuclear power is an example of a high-tech and human-centered industry, which is the cornerstone of the development of countries and at the same time a contribution to the development and satisfaction of needs of humanity. We can trace the long evolutionary path of nuclear power looking at the Russian nuclear industry with its more than 75-year history. Today, nuclear power is more than clean energy generation. Nuclear technologies create innovative solutions to pressing environmental, economic, social and other problems of the present, which ultimately improve people life quality. Rosatom's participation in the Russian pavilion is an opportunity to tell the EXPO global audience how nuclear technologies today make an invaluable contribution to creating a sustainable future for the younger generations».
