Dubai, UAE, 10 June, 2015: Cofely Besix Facility Management has been awarded the facilities management contract to provide full hard facility management services to Remal Mall, a new mall located in Al Ain, Sanayya opposite to the Civil Defence.
The initial contract is for a 3-year period, but is extendable to 5 years, and includes 24-hour facilities management of the mall operations, the initial Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) setup, all Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) operations and maintenance, Building Maintenance System (BMS) monitoring and control, as well as tenant integration into the mall. The contract also includes operations and maintenance of electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, fire and life systems, as well as potable water and other amenities.
Remal Mall is owned by Al Dar Properties PJSC, and is a six story building designed with a touch of traditional Arabian architecture, including two basement car parks with a capacity of 1200 vehicles, as well as loading docks and services areas. The mall has several retail units with a total gross floor area of approximately 128,890M2 which includes a hypermarket, anchor stores, shops, a food court, and cinema.
Remal Mall currently has more than 175 outlets with a 46,920 M2 leasable area, hosting many local and international brands such as Carrefour, Axiom, Royal furniture, La Brioche, Il Forno, Dubai Islamic Bank.
