Cairo –  ExxonMobil Egypt has signed a collaboration and framework agreement with Trella to bring digital innovation to the trucking industry in the Arab republic.

The collaboration aims to provide innovative solutions and tech-fueled growth, marking ExxonMobil’s first direct investment with a tech startup in the Middle East and North Africa, according to a press release on Wednesday.

This partnership will enable Trella to offer enhanced trucking productivity and efficiency, increased work opportunities for truck drivers, in addition to empowering drivers and fleets with the use of Mobil Delvac - ExxonMobil’s heavy-duty diesel engine oils.

“Trella’s growth in a short period of time and though challenging circumstances is a signal that the market is ripe for disruption, and we believe Trella is on the right track to revamp the freight industry in Egypt and in the region,” CEO, Omar Hagrass, commented.

Market Development Manager at ExxonMobil Egypt, Mohamed El-Assar, said: “This investment and support aims to provide our leading edge Mobil lubricants truck customers with access to trusted quality jobs in Egypt via an innovative digital platform.”
