Egypt - Etisalat Mist has obtained a licence from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to provide e-payment services via QR code, the company’s CEO Hazem Metwally told Al Mal Newspaper.

The telecom company aims at activating the service at the highest number possible of points of sale, Metwally said.

In another context, he pointed out that the company has recorded a growth rate of 18% in revenue during the first half of 2021.

Moreover, Etisalat Misr has allocated a sum of around EGP 4 billion to EGP 5 billion to invest in upgrading its network, the company’s CEO said.
