Egypt-based Emaar Misr is planning to develop two mixed-use projects in the Sheikh Zayed City extension in Greater Cairo in 2020, the company's director of external affairs told Zawya Projects.

Mohamed El-Menshawy said the first project, spread over an area of about 500 acres, would include villas, hotels apartments, commercial and office units. The second project, spread over an area of 130 acres, would include residential and commercial units.

He didn't disclose the project costs or timelines but said the company is awaiting ministerial approvals and licenses to start construction.
