ArabFinance: El Didi Group and Gama Construction, in cooperation with the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport, are studying the establishment of a 15-acre dry port in Damietta, Egypt, an official at the Ministry of Transport told Shorouk News.

The dry port looks at providing space for shipping and storing goods that leave the Damietta seaport, as well as transporting goods to the electrified train project, which will link the ports of Abu Qir to West Port Said, the official said.

A cost of up to $200 million should be provided by the coalition for the dry ports construction works and necessary equipment, another source previously told Al Mal.
